Yarrr!
Yesterday I bleached my hair with Wella Wellite Lightening Creme (why not "cream?") and 30 vol developer.
The fronts turned an acceptable pale, but the rest of it, particularly the back, seems to have not lightened much. Yarrr.
I shall do one more bleach with L'Oreal Quick Blue and 30 or 40 vol developer. I haven't decided which strength developer to use, since the 30 only seemed to affect my roots.

I only have a quarter bottle left of SFX Toner and I'm not sure if that's enough.
